Amba Cambridge

Rotisserie chicken is the starting point at Amba on First Street. The birds get a citrus, peppercorn and herb brine, followed by shawarma spices, and the menu lets you build a meal around them with pita, sauces, sides and mezze. Hummus, green feta, muhammara and baba ganoush give you plenty to pass around the table.

There’s more than chicken here. The arayes are lamb-stuffed pita served with zhoug, Greek yogurt and tomato jam, and shawarma fries make another addition to the order. Amba opens in the morning and serves through the evening Monday through Saturday; Sunday is its day off.
