Ali’s Roti Restaurant

Ali’s Roti Restaurant on Blue Hill Avenue in Mattapan serves Indian-Caribbean cooking with roots in Trinidad and Tobago. Roti is the starting point: flatbread filled with curry, with options including chicken, shrimp, potato and vegetables. The menu also includes beef and goat curries and steamed cabbage, so there is more to order than a wrapped lunch. Inside, red booths face the kitchen, where you can watch the roti being made. Founder Nazir Ali built the business with help from his wife and family, and Boston recognized the restaurant with a Legacy Business Award in 2025.
