Aatma At Widowmaker

Aatma serves Indian food inside Widowmaker’s Brighton brewery on North Beacon Street. You can sit down to butter chicken in a cashew-and-tomato gravy, a clay-pot lamb belly biryani, or benne dosa with butter and spiced potatoes. Chef Keith Sarasin’s menu also makes room for a burger: two masala beef patties with Amul cheese and achari onions.

Chaat-spiced tots fit a smaller order with a beer, while the biryani makes a more substantial dinner. The restaurant says all its meat is halal, and it accepts both reservations and walk-ins. Plan around the kitchen’s own hours rather than the brewery’s closing time. Aatma serves in the evening Tuesday through Sunday, with an earlier kitchen finish on Sunday and no Monday service.
