Frostival Lodge at Copley Square brings alpine vibes, curling, and carbs to the city

Boston winter is not subtle. It is long, gray, and excellent at ruining plans. Enter Boston Frostival Lodge at Copley Square, a month-long attempt to make February feel survivable.

Set up in Copley Square, the Frostival Lodge is exactly what it sounds like. A cozy indoor-outdoor lodge dropped into the middle of the city, designed for lingering, warming up, and pretending the wind chill does not exist.

The space pulls from Scandinavian minimalism, Alpine chalet energy, and Quebec lodge vibes, all filtered through Wayfair furniture that you can actually buy. There are six fully furnished living rooms, glass-enclosed firepits, Adirondack chairs, and a bar. It feels less like an installation and more like someone with excellent taste decided to host winter.

Food and drinks come from Eataly, which means hot, comforting, and better than whatever you were going to eat at home. NBC Boston handles the screens, so expect constant Winter Games coverage and watch parties that feel intentional instead of chaotic.

This is not a quick walk-through situation. Boston Frostival Lodge is designed for staying put. Sit. Eat. Watch sports. Play games. Warm up. Repeat.

Programming runs throughout February and leans heavily into low-stress, all-ages-friendly fun. Nothing here requires training, gear, or pretending you are outdoorsy.

Here is what is planned so far:

  • Weekly trivia nights
  • Kids movie time with silent disco headphones
  • Small live music performances
  • Curling lanes and cornhole
  • Tabletop games including Scrabble, Jenga, chess, and backgammon
  • Sports and Winter Games watch parties
  • Winter Games and Valentine’s Day themed kids crafts
  • Pasta-making classes for people who take carbs seriously

Boston Frostival Lodge at Copley Square runs from February 6 through February 28, and if you plan on seeing friends in February, this is where you suggest meeting.
