About this event
Massachusetts Poet Laureate Regie Gibson reads two Victorian Christmas ghost stories at the Old North Church, with a live original score led by multi-instrumentalist Josiah Reibstein. The stories are Charles Dickens’s The Goblins Who Stole a Sexton, an early cousin of A Christmas Carol, and A.M. Burrage’s Christmas Eve story Smee. The performance runs one hour in the sanctuary.
Guests sit in the church’s box pews. A ticket for one or two people may share a pew. Private pews are $100 for three seats, $130 for four, and $160 for five. A single ticket is $36. An optional 20-minute crypt tour starts at 6:30 p.m. for $12 more a person. The gift shop opens at 6:30 p.m., and seating begins at 7:00 p.m.
