Casse-Noisette: A Holiday Tale in Music

The Arpeggione Ensemble plays a miniature Nutcracker at the French Library. Thomas Carroll’s arrangement sets Tchaikovsky’s score for five musicians, with narration in French from Alexandre Dumas’s Histoire d’un casse-noisette and English subtitles. Projected illustrations follow the story. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. for a holiday craft atelier, the concert starts at 6:00 p.m., and light refreshments follow. Members and French Library students pay $24. Non-members pay $30. Children under 14 are free with an adult.
