Boston Harborfest 2026

Boston Harborfest takes over the city July 2–4, 2026, turning Boston’s most iconic spots into a full-on Fourth of July playground with hundreds of free, family-friendly things to do. It kicks off July 2 at noon with a ceremonial cake cutting, roving historical reenactors, and live performances from the Massachusetts 215th Army Band, followed by days of reenactments, art markets, Chowderfest, and nonstop live music at places like Downtown Crossing, Christopher Columbus Park, and the Greenway. The whole thing crescendos Thursday night with Harborfest fireworks at 9:15 pm, launched from Long Wharf and visible across the Inner Harbor. Big history energy, zero admission.
