Brrrr… Boston could see snow twice this weekend as winter makes a comeback

Enjoy the 50s while you can, because winter is reminding Boston it’s still very much here. A sharp temperature drop moves in fast, with wind and air that’ll feel like single digits by Friday morning. By Friday afternoon, it’s cold, blustery, and unmistakably winter again.
Saturday brings the first snow chance, though expectations should stay modest. A light rain–snow mix arrives late morning and hangs around through the day. Temperatures hover just above freezing, which means inland areas could see an inch or two at most, while Boston likely sees a few early flurries before things turn mostly rainy by midday. South Shore and Cape residents should expect rain, not snow.
Then comes the wildcard: a low-pressure system sliding past Sunday into Monday. This setup could support a bigger storm, but right now the track is just offshore enough to keep totals light. Some minor accumulation is possible, but nothing blockbuster unless that storm shifts closer.
Bottom line: cold, windy, a few flakes, and lots of watching the radar. Winter isn’t done yet—but it’s also not ready to fully commit.
