Sandüich Republic

Sandüich Republic operates inside Wonderful Mart on Massachusetts Avenue in North Cambridge. The sandwich menu draws on Latin American flavors: the Boss Hog pairs shredded pork with cheese, garlic-cilantro aioli and pickled mojo onions, while the Habana Press layers pork, ham, Swiss, pickles and mustard on a pressed baguette. A vegetable sandwich combines grilled zucchini and pepper with avocado and goat cheese.

Breakfast sandwiches and burritos broaden the choices, and fruit smoothies include mango, mamey and passion fruit. Those smoothies use evaporated milk, a useful detail when choosing a drink.
