Sarma on Pearl Street in Somerville serves Mediterranean and Middle Eastern small plates meant for passing around the table. Chef Cassie Piuma’s menu takes its cue from Turkish meyhanes, then makes room for dishes such as Black Sea cornbread with feta and honey, lamb köfte sliders, and lentil nachos with feta queso. Vegetables get their own substantial section, so dinner needn’t revolve around meat. Order a few dishes together and leave space to try something else. The full dinner menu is available at the 20-seat bar, where seats and nearby high-tops are first come, first served. Dining-room reservations open 30 days ahead. Gilman Square on the Green Line is nearby, a useful alternative to finding street parking.
