The Citizen

The Citizen in Fenway gives whiskey and dinner equal attention. You can keep things simple with a burger topped with bacon jam and cheddar, order steak frites or lamb shepherd’s pie, or start with oysters served with cucumber mignonette. The cocktail list includes a house Old Fashioned and a Manhattan with a choice of whiskey upgrades, alongside beer, wine and nonalcoholic drinks. For a larger gathering, the restaurant takes advance bookings for a whole suckling pig dinner with oysters, shrimp and seasonal sides. That meal requires at least ten people, so organize the group first. Smaller parties can book an ordinary dinner without committing to quite so much pork.
