Tall Ship is throwing a party to #EndALS on September 14th! The event is a fundraiser and it is in support of ALS research and the ALS Therapy Development Institute.
Secret Boston is happy to announce that Tall Ship will be hosting an event to fundraise and collect money that will be used in the research to #EndALS. Throughout the years, ALS Warriors have raised over $400,000 for research throughout past events.
ALS, also known as amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, is a progressive neurodegenerative disease according to the als.net website. The disease attacks the brain and spinal cord cells that are needed for muscle mobility which leads to muscle weakness and paralysis.
This event/fundraiser, is the first event The Tall Ship will be hosting so it will definitely be one for the books! So far there have been $21,000 raised out of the $50,000 goal. You can register to attend the event or to sponsor it here! Reservations go from $100 to $150 and sponsorships range from $1,000 to $5,000. You can also just donate for the cause without attending or sponsoring the event.
