The story follows Katya, a young peasant girl braving the frozen taiga to find medicine and magic for her struggling family. In a land ruled by Morozko, the fearsome Lord of Winter, admitting to feeling cold can be deadly. Katya’s journey is aided by Ivan, a cursed soldier with no memory, and the enigmatic Baba Yaga, a witch who’s both ally and threat. As Morozko summons dark forces to test Katya, the stage fills with peasants, princes, gods, spirits, and riddles, all set against a backdrop of endless winter.
