The world’s top street snowboarders return to the heart of Downtown Boston at the steps of City Hall Plaza for an epic display of talent led by style and riding icon, Zeb Powell. Red Bull Heavy Metal is a single day snowboarding contest featuring the most progressive rail riding in the world. The event utilizes the natural rails, drops, gaps, and banks of iconic city locations, allowing top men and women riders to showcase innovative riding in front of a live crowd. Born in the early 2000s and revived in 2022, Red Bull Heavy Metal has become the leading showcase in street snowboarding. The 2026 edition introduces two USA regional qualifiers, each sending one female and one male rider to the main event in Boston. Viewing is free and open to the public for all events.
