Volunteer With Fresh Truck

On a mission to strengthen communities by providing fresh food closer to those who need it most, Fresh Truck offers a wide range of healthy food options to residents of Boston. The mobile market serves fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, breads and more to people who have difficulty accessing fresh foods at an affordable cost.

The program transformed retired school buses to serve as mobile markets, making them accessible in various locations within the city. Fresh Truck works on a fixed weekly schedule, stopping across multiple Boston neighborhoods on a daily basis. With multiple locations and times available comes the need for volunteers. 

Volunteers will directly support the market by:

• Filling and bagging orders on the bus

• Greeting & monitoring the flow of the line

• Taking orders from shoppers

• Cleaning and sanitizing equipment & materials
