The Harvard Coop Celebrates 140 Years

The Harvard Coop is celebrating its 140th birthday by reopening their newly renovated store with a series of events this weekend! On Friday, September 10th from 3PM to 5PM, the Coop will host a reception for all writers to meet the buyers and event planners and on Saturday, September 11th, there will be an outdoor event!

The Friday reopening will feature free prizes, games, snacks, live music, mystery discounts, and self-guided tours of the refurbished space which includes the iconic staircase and new artwork! The reopening is directed towards new writers who are interested in promoting their books, and those interested in giving their input on their selection and ideas for future events. Come enjoy the beautiful bookstore mezzanine with others with similar likings to build community!

Additionally, on Saturday there will be a celebration on Palmer. Outdoor festivities which include complementary desserts and a fabulous Party on Palmer. Entrance is free but donations are accepted and all proceeds will go to the “Fridge in the Square.“ There will also be a possibility for everyone to win a prize if you pick up a Golden Ticket! There will also be free books and swag, discounts, gift cards, and more!
