Tuesday, October 12th at 11:30 AM until the end of the month- Boston Public Market

The “Official Pumpkin of Boston” was unveiled for the seventh year on Tuesday, October 12th at 11:30 AM. The annual ceremony will take place at the Boston Public Market, 100 Hanover Street.

Farmers, tractors, and pumpkins will be at the Market. There will be two official pumpkins known as the Boston’s Pumpking, which weights over one ton, & Pumpqueen, which weights 587 lbs, and they are courtesy of Red Apple Farm of Phillipston, Massachusetts and Bill Houle from Swanzey, New Hampshire.

Aside from this, there will be tons of vendors to satisfy everyone’s fall cravings such as apples, cider donuts, and apple cider! There will also be a pumpkin-naming contest for both pumpkins on social media!! The pumpkins will be displayed at the Market throughout October.

The Boston Public Market has been the home of 25 New England artisans and food producers year-round. They host the “Official Pumpkin of Boston“ and this year is no exception! Everyone is invited to come celebrate and see the arrival of the pumpkins and snap some photos and videos to share on social media using the hashtag #BPMpumpking!
