Santa Speedo Run 2021

December 4th - December 12th

The Santa Speedo Run tradition is back! Celebrating their 21st year of tradition, the mile runs continue being one of the top events of the year with an arduous course through Boston’s Back Bay, down Boylston and Newbury Streets. Runs can take place any time between December 4th and December 12th. Organizers must map out their own route.

The run used to be in support of various Massachusetts charities but throughout the years, it has transitioned into supporting just one: The Play Ball Foundation. This charity supports middle school sports in Boston Public Schools, Lawrence, and Holyoke.

What started as a speedo run has transformed into a wacky holiday themed costumes, matching t-shirts, and track suits run. Nevertheless, some attendees have continued the tiny red swim attire tradition. Each organizer will map out their own route of less than a mile distance so that training can start immediately!

If you want to participate you can: (1) organize a run and fundraise - organizer, (2) fundraise and run - fundraiser, (3) join a run and make a suggested donation to the organizer’s page - runner, (4) donate to the run - supporter. Here is a checklist of things organizers and fundraisers should consider doing:

– Sign up & create your peer to peer fundraising page.
– Fill out the waiver.
– Set your fundraising goal
– Email your network of support to donate to your run.
– Fire up the Social Media #SantaRun2021
– Run!
