Ice Castles Come Back to New Hampshire

New Hampshire Ice Castles– a must-see winter phenomenon– will open to the public this Friday, Jan. 14 for the 2022 season.

Nestled in the White Mountains, this winter wonderland is a two-hour drive from Boston making it easily accessible on weekends.

This never-the-same attraction is built entirely by hand each year. Keith Heintzelman and Anna Closser are the artist duo responsible for building this 20-million-pound castle made of icicles.

In New Hampshire, the ice castles are built over a span of six months. After the icicles are made to standard, the next step is to add a sprinkler system and LED lights.

Guests are able to enjoy ice slides, crawl tunnels, snow tubing, sleigh rides, and a stroll through the Mystic Forest Light Walk.

General Admission tickets range from $20 to $27 and Child Admission range from $15 to $22, depending on the day of the week and whether or not you purchase your tickets in advance.
