The crowds that have populated Fenway Park so far this spring have had their fair share of early season disappointment to sigh at. But by week’s end, Frank Turner and The Interrupters are going to do all they can just beyond the confines of America’s favorite ballpark to bring a bit more rock and roll and sunshine on Lansdowne Street.

Following a fully sold-out first week of the tour, the two punk rock juggernauts bring their highly-anticipated joint trek to MGM Music Hall at Fenway on Sunday, May 7. It will be the first show for each band at the newest and hottest venue to crop up in the city, and just to further accentuate the absolute freight train of musical power that has filled their schedule with sold-out dates all over the country this spring and throughout the summer, the pairing will be joined by Laura Jane Grace* of Against Me! and Hot Water Music’s Chuck Ragan.

Adding to an already storied history of shows in the city over the years, Turner’s latest trip to Boston comes on the heels of his most recent full-length studio release in 2022’s FTHC, and while he’s sure to bring all the fun and enjoyment of his jam-packed catalog of fan favorite tracks, it’ll be the first time Boston has been able to hear the new songs in their full live glory.

While completing the two-headed dragon with a full-force cannon of ska punk at the ready, Cali punks The Interrupters are a four-headed musical monster on their own. Composed of the powerful Aimee Interrupter and the mighty Bivona brothers - Kevin, Justin and Jesse - the quartet has only continued their takeover of the scene with their insightful and inspiring lyrics, most recently found on their 2022 album In The Wild, as well as their energetic live shows that contain a seemingly endless supply of PMA and feelgood punk rock vibes.

But before the evening’s headliners take the stage, Laura Jane Grace and Chuck Ragan will deliver some acoustic goodness that surely still manages to capture the raw power and passion with their punk rock souls.

Tickets for the show are still available, and can be purchased via Live Nation or the venue’s box office.

* Laura Jane Grace announced on instagram that she will miss this show. We will update with any news here.
