Da LaPosta Opening

Chef Mario LaPosta is finally opening up da LaPosta pizzeria and restaurant! Come by 825 Washington Street in Newton and enjoy some delicious pizza!

Executive chef and owner Mario LaPosta has over 20 years experience in performing the art of wood-fired pizza making. he did an apprenticeship in Naples and Rome. This is his first restaurant as both owner and executive chef. He comes from Babbo Pizzeria e Enoteca in Boston’s Seaport.

At the new restaurant, Mario will serve wood-fired pizza inspired by his love of food and hospitality with Italian roots and New England flair. The restaurant’s rustic feel captures dedication to tradition and innovation with a menu that showcases the best ingredient from regional purveyors and artisans. Aside from pizza, you can also find street food-inspired starters, handmade pasta, and a wine list showcasing the best of Campania and Southern Italy.

General manager, James Shimko, a newcomer to Boston, says he “grew up in the hospitality industry, so I feel very connected to all the working parts (of da LaPosta).“ The restaurant prides itself in using local and sustainable ingredients! Additionally, guests will be able to enjoy a full bar program that features classic Italian-inspired cocktails and a thoughtful wine list as well as some great beers.

The restaurant is open for lunch and the hours are: Sunday-Thursday from 11AM to 11 PM, Friday-Saturday from 11AM to midnight. If you want more info, visit this link!!
