Boston’s Design Week Starts Today!

Today marks the start of Boston’s Design Week! The 8th annual 12-day festival will take place from April 28th all through May 9th, 2021 both online and in-person!

The festival will kick off today with two different Zoom seminars to learn more about Miguel Rosales (bridge architect and designer) and the challenges faced by the real estate market.

Most events will take place online, via Zoom due to most fo them being discussions or presentations. There will even be a “MIT Campus Art and Landscape Virtual Tour” (Thursday April 29th at 5pm). One of the most acclaimed events is the “Back Bay Victorian Highlights Walking Tour,” which will be in person and has been sold out! But no worries if you weren’t able to get a ticket, there are some other events that you can enjoy outdoors as well and still have some availability, but make sure you RSVP!

On the last day of the festival, May 8th, you can attend their final event which will be the “SketchBoston at the Rose Kennedy Greenway” if you are interested in drawing. You will be able to join others with the same interest to draw the beautiful landscape of the city, and it’s in-person! Despite the festival finishing on May 8th, you can still visit many museums and ongoing events for Mother’s Day which is Sunday May 9th!

You can follow this link to get more information of the series of ongoing and multi-day events that will take place as well as the self-guided walks you can take throughout the entirety of the festival. You can also access their GuideBook by clicking here!
