6 Boston Bars Lost To Covid
Unfortunately, the pandemic has taken an extremely heavy toll on the Boston bar scene by closing many of our favorite staple after-work happy hour spots permanently. Here is a list of the fallen that are officially in the graveyard of Boston Bars:
Wonder Bar
This is the place that college students will feel the blow from its closure. Its high-energy and awesome music brought so many good memories to many who have been through a university in the Boston area.
2. Pour House
Boylston Street will be a little quieter without Pour Houses 2 full bars in action. The people of Boston loved this spot for the late-night music and great pub food.
3. McGreevey’s
St. Patrick Day won’t be the same without the Dropkick Murphy’s affiliated bar blasting the rooftops off of the building. America’s first sports bar is no longer.
4. Somerville Brewing
Sadly the Porter Square Porter, Happy Sol, and Flagraiser IPA are no longer out in the market. Somerville’s favorite place to get a pint of the Slumbrew Craft Beers has been discontinued.
5. The Field Pub
Officially the former most popular Cambridge pub for homey vibes and good food. The Guinness, pool tables, and darts will be missed.
6. Les Zygomates Wine Bar & Bistro
Easily accessible for the post-work crowds coming from South Station, the Gallic bar has served its final wine glass and dish.
