B-Local App - Support Local Businesses (FREE)

The B-Local app is a new rewards app that compensates residents and visitors for shopping at local businesses. Rewards come in the form of Boston Points, with each point equal to $1. These points can be easily redeemed at participating businesses around the city, with the app indicating these businesses with the letter “R”. The app is being launched by The City of Boston, in partnership with Colu.

When you use the app, tell the business you are using your device and then select “Redeem” to choose the business you want to pay. You can enter the number of points you are redeeming and wait for confirmation. A credit or debit card needs to be linked to your account in order to receive Boston Points, and your points appear automatically in your app balance after your payment is confirmed!
