Shake Shack is celebrating the Boston Marathon’s return by supporting the Dana-Farber Marathon Challenge fundraising efforts with a Boston-exclusive Marathon Mocha shake! The shake will be available for a limited time starting on Thursday, October 7 through Monday, October 11.

Boston Marathon is approaching us again and Shake Shack will be celebrating by offering a limited-edition, Boston-exclusive Marathon Mocha shake featuring coffee donated by MA-based coffee company, Cometeer, and chocolate frozen custard. The shake will cost $5.99 and it will be available across all 10 Massachusetts Shake Shack locations.

“The Marathon Mocha shake uses Comeeter’s roasting partner Equator Coffee and its “Mocha Java'' — a Medium Roast with notes of berries and chocolatey.“

The proceeds obtained will be used to support the Dana-Farber Marathon Challenge fundraiser. The team raises funds to benefit the Claudia Adams Barr Program in Innovative Basic Cancer Research, a supporter of promising cancer research in its earliest stages at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. “We are grateful to Shake Shack for serving up ‘Marathon Mochas’ to support the Dana-Farber Marathon Challenge on race day. Their gift directly benefits cancer research in its earliest stages, where support is most needed. With the help of Shake Shack’s loyal customers, we are one step closer to a world without cancer,” said Jan Ross, Assistant Vice President, Running Programs at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and the Jimmy Fund.

Everyone is invited to try the exclusive shake at any of the locations. The Newbury Street Shack will host a workshop to decorate signs to cheer on runners while enjoying live music from a DJ on race day (Monday, October 11th). Only a block away from the Marathon finish line, the location will be giving away Marathon-themed swag along with water bottles for runners.
