Boston International Film Festival Returns

The famous Boston International Film Festival is officially back! Held every April since 2003, it has produced many feature films that have gone onto receive Academy Awards. The Festival was created to bring together filmmakers and those who love the art of film. It is also meant to honor and reward the filmmakers by showcasing their work of creative expression and excellence.

Bringing together local, national, and international filmmakers is something that is so special about this festival. The creators themselves, as well as the viewers, are able to learn about cultures and thoughts from people around the world by watching the world’s most creative and experimental films.

Thrilling and electric are words that can describe the emotions you feel when watching the films at the festival. The producers are striving to blow you away and leave you thinking. However, no two films are the same because there is such a wide range of genres within the films that touch upon many subjects. Expect to see films ranging from documentaries to experimental ideas.

Amazing news -- This year’s film festival will be hosted IN PERSON! Held in different sessions to spread out the viewers, the festival will take place from April 16-21st at a variety of venues.

You are able to buy a ticket for $12 for an individual “session” -- which includes a longer film paired with several shorter films of the same theme.
