Alongside with the 55th Annual Man of the Year by Hasty Pudding Theatricals, there is a Woman of the Year award and we just got word of who is the honoree! For this year, the organization is honoring Jennifer Garner. Tickets for the event start at $250.

Jennifer Garner, Hasty Pudding’s Woman of the Year, will be the guest of honor at the parade going through Harvard Square on February 5th. The parade will be followed by the traditional roast where Garner will receive her pudding pot. This is also opening night for the group’s latest performance. This is a black tie event.

The decision to honor Garner with this title does not come from only her career as an actor, but also for her record as a philanthropist and entrepreneur. Last year, the recipient of this award was Viola Davis and previously Meryl Streep.

Jennifer Garner has been nominated for several Primetime Emmys for her role as Sydney Bristow in the TV series “Alias.” Her most recognized movies for her magnificent work in them include “Juno,” “Dallas Buyers Club” and “13 Going on 30.” She is also a trustee for Save the Children and an advocate on Capitol Hill to raise awareness and funds for the organization. She is the co-funder of organic food company Once Upon a Farm which has the goal of providing children with high quality food that is grown using only sustainable methods.

Aside from Jennifer Garner being awarded the Woman of the Year award, Jason Bateman was announced as the Man of the Year just last month.
